Interveinal chlorosis on youngest leaves — green veins, yellow/white blade. Most common in Maharashtra black cotton soils.

pH>7.5 locks up iron. Very common in calcareous soils, over-irrigated fields.

Confirm deficiency — Soil test + leaf analysis. Check soil pH (most deficiencies are pH-related).
Immediate foliar spray — Apply Iron EDDHA 6% at 1.5–2 kg for fast correction. Repeat after 7–10 days.
Drip correction — Apply via fertigation for lasting effect.
Prevent recurrence — Include in regular nutrition program. Test soil pH and adjust if needed.
